It's heavy duty and solid. It doesn't shake or wobble even when accidentally bumped lightly - a quality you NEED in a stand that's holding nearly $4,000 worth of your saxophones. I use this for my alto and tenor, it performs great, and allows me to switch back and forth quickly. Each arm is adjustable to accommodate either alto or tenor. There are two clarinet pegs on either side that can also be used for straight sopranos too. It also folds up (although not completely) for easier carrying.
