Root End 5 Holes - Traditional Zen Instrument I ordered this flute simply because I liked the way it looked. It does not have a root end, which makes them sell for a lot more, and that does not affect the sound. This flute is absolutely solid, rock hard, aged and well crafted. The picture on the web makes the flute look as if it has a flared end and that's just a glitch in the way the picture shows up on websites.The sound, once you become accustomed to this flute, is wonderful, rich and deep. I sounds like a flute costing much more. The velvet bag is also a nice touch and you should use it for storing after you've dried the inside of the flute and are not going to play it for a day or so. There are cheaper flutes out there and you do get what you pay for. This, in my opinion, is a good value. |
