The color is a lot darker in the picture then in real life. In the picture it looks more maroon which is what I wanted and in life it looks like a crimson red. It plays alright and I would defined recommend to anyone who needs a decent piccolo for school. The sound quality is a lot better than I expected. No repair work needed, you can pick up and play as soon as you get it.
