(I later tried putting a steel headjoint to that chamber and it was of perfect size.) And then the handstrap and backstrap are really nicely padded. I hold it comfortably! Some points one might consider: 1. There is no room for cleaning rods in the flute/picc compartment (unless you put them inside the bodies of the flutes which is not really recommended). 2. FYI, the footjoint is assumed to be a B-foot. 3. Would be great if a flute stand can be put here as well :) But all-in-all, the main compartment is really large enough for you to put whatever into it. (I've tried a laptop!)
