It's made of beautiful finished bamboo, with white end caps made of -- I think -- high quality plastic. The center joint links with brass -- or some form of gold metal. It's also wrapped with high quality thread with finish keeping them from fraying. It comes with an insert of the Dizi paper to put over the hole on the front (I'm still learning about the Dizi parts), but doesn't come with the glue to apply it. However, you can improvise the glue yourself using water and glue-sticks, or in a pinch scotch tape (Don't expect the sound quality to be as good as with actual glue. The actual glue is very cheap anyway). It had a very long shipping time, but it shipped from China to Arizona, so that can be expected, and it arrived on the first day in the shipping estimation.
