I bought this for my 3 year old b/c she is obsessed with Musical instruments from watching Little Einsteins. It's awesome! It's very sturdy and not cheap at all. She has been playing with it all day. I like that it's not a little kids toy, it's the real thing. I'll have to help her figure out how to play it for real when she get's a little older.

I bought an assortment of recorders for my children to encourage their emerging interest in music (thanks to Little Einsteins). These recorders do have a tendency to squeak more than a higher quality one, and they can get a little shrill, but they are perfect for what I need, and their quality exceeded my expectations at this price point. Great value!

Got this for my 8 yr. old granddaughter for Christmas. She visited this week-end (Jan 14) and she gave me a "recital". She was very proud of herself for the number of songs she had learned, and I was proud of her for how well she did.
